Venue Rental Manager - SPUR URBAN CENTER

  • Answer prospective rental client inquiries/maintain the SPUR phone and database

  • Respond promptly to rental inquiries by phone and email

  • Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients; sell additional services based on customer needs

  • Maintain relationships with current clients and contact prospective clients to generate new business

  • Schedule staff and rental-related services

  • Lead site visits at SPUR

  • Maintain rental prospect, client and facility data in online information systems 

  • Attend and participate in monthly marketing reviews with the SPUR Urban Center Earned Revenue Marketing Committee

  • Attend industry meetings and networking events to grow SPUR's presence in the community

  • Review rental revenue projections/budget based on competitive analysis and sales to date

Operations COORDINATION (Events)

  • Assist/report to Director, Operations & Events
  • Manage on-site staff 

  • Build proposals in Powerpoint

  • Reserve/schedule staff and vendor services 

  • Generate timelines

  • Coordinate transportation 

  • Actively participate in weekly operations meetings; brainstorm new strategies/solutions

  • Perform related tasks as assigned by management

  • Actively support and participate in industry associations as deemed appropriate by management

Required Skills

  • Proficient in Powerpoint & MS Office

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Maintains a cool head in high-stress situations

  • Impeccable hospitality and customer service skills

  • Able to carry 25 lbs.

  • Always punctual

  • Access to reliable transportation

  • Flexible with tasks and timing; skilled multitasker

  • Teachable and open to learning; comfortable asking questions and receptive to direction/feedback

  • Resourceful; able to problem solve unique situations utilizing all available resources 

  • Familiarity with SF restaurants, venues, hotels and hospitality/event vendors is a plus
