Additionally, she has held numerous leadership and board positions for Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Northern California Chapter. Linda enjoys mentoring aspiring young men and women and has done this throughout her career. Early in her career, she established internship programs with San Francisco State University, Westmont College, Stanford and Vanderbilt University Extension programs in order to open doors for Hospitality Management and Communications students. For her work with San Francisco State University, Linda was recognized for her "outstanding contributions and service." Additionally, Linda was selected to serve on the University's Advisory Council, and is a sought after guest lecturer and mentor in the Hospitality Management Department. Linda graduated from California State University, Sacramento, and earned a Masters Degree from Long Island University, New York. While serving as an Army Officer, Linda attended the Army's Command General Staff College and earned her Army parachute wings at Fort Benning, Georgia. Hand selected to work at the Pentagon, Linda was responsible for managing and organizing two high level Senior Review Panels for the Assistant Secretary of the Army. Her extensive strategic level meeting planning skills enhanced the cohesion of staff training, executive meetings, worldwide travel arrangements and logistics. She ensured these executive-level, politically charged, yearlong, worldwide projects were successfully conducted. Linda earned several military awards during her career culminating with the Legion of Merit, one of our nation's highest honors. Linda and her best friend (business partner and husband of 31 years), Gordon, have two wonderful children Christine and Alexander.
As a destination and special event professional, Gordon has designed, planned, developed, and implemented international and domestic executive level conferences, special events and incentive programs for hundreds of Cappa & Graham's clients including the American Bar Association, the American Society for Training & Development, Cincinnati Insurance Companies, Microsoft, Levi Strauss & Company, the National Basketball Association, the International Fiscal Association, Wells Fargo and MontBlanc International to name a few. His demeanor and rare ability to visualize and organize unique gala events in historic castles, flawlessly execute large troop moves across Germany or manage tactical meetings for senior U.S. and NATO leaders proved his skill as a strategic leader and planner. As a result of Gordon's unparalleled performance and ability to mold and lead military personnel, he was selected to teach leadership and organizational development at the prestigious U.S. Army Command & General Staff College. His military career culminated with a premier Pentagon assignment where he worked extensively with senior Army and Department of Defense leaders to shape and develop the Army's strategic position for the first congressionally mandated Quadrennial Defense Review. He has organized and worked with many senior foreign delegations to improve understanding and cooperation among U.S. allies. Gordon was also personally selected to provide individual presentations to members of the US Congress in his capacity as a Foreign Affairs expert. Gordon graduated from the Citadel with a degree in Business Administration and earned his advanced degrees from the University of Southern California and Middlebury College, Vermont. In business, Gordon's passion is designing and delivering unique large and small special events, incentive and transportation programs to our clients.
